Mushin 無心
I am an illustrator and visual artist based in Ghent, with a background in sociolinguistics and a curiosity for subjects far beyond my own field.
My visual language is shaped by being 'on the move', between places, cultures, people and ideas. I enjoy the act of looking closely and stepping back; exploring, analyzing, and connecting dots that might not seem to be connected at first.
I work with museums, researchers, publishers, cultural organizations and editorial teams to turn complex ideas into images that communicate, invite curiosity and stay with you.
My work has appeared in publications including National Geographic, The Guardian, The Washington Post and The Lancet. I work intuitively, trusting the first visual ideas while taking the time to understand what lies beneath them.
Every project starts with curiosity: What are you discovering? What matters most? And how can we make people want to look closer?
